Blanched Green Beans

Ingredients:

  • 1 -1/2 pounds green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Place a Dutch oven filled with water over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the beans and salt. Cover and boil 4 - 5 minutes.
  3. Drain, then plunge into ice water 4 minutes. Drain again.
  4. Package into freezer containers and freeze, or refrigerate and use within 2 days.

Yield: 8 servings
