Gardener Extras
- Muscadine vines are either female or self-fertile. Generally, female varieties produce larger and sweeter fruit. Self-fertile varieties produce higher fruit yields.
- For white muscadines, David recommends 'Carlos' and 'Magnolia'.
- 'Cowart' is self-fertile. Froduces purple berries. It does well in Middle TN.
- David sources his plants from Ison's Nursery and Vineyard at www.isons.com.
