Blanched Green Beans
- 1 -1/2 pounds green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Place a Dutch oven filled with water over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.
- Add the beans and salt. Cover and boil 4 - 5 minutes.
- Drain, then plunge into ice water 4 minutes. Drain again.
- Package into freezer containers and freeze, or refrigerate and use within 2 days.
Yield: 8 servings
