Instant Berry Granita


  • 2 pints fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries or strawberries)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 TBSP liqueur (optional)


  1. Freeze berries in a single layer on a baking sheet and keep frozen until ready to make granita.
  2. Put frozen berries in a food processor. Add remaining ingredients and process until smooth. Serve immediately.

Yield: Serves 4
